The holidays are about spending time with family and friends. This is the special time of the year when we take time out of our busy lives to be thankful and appreciative. It is a time for family, gift giving and renewed hope for the New Year.

Parian & Sons has helped the people of Northern New Jersey make the holidays special for almost a century. We are a family owned jewelry store where service, quality and customers’ satisfaction is our family’s tradition.

Our First Store on Dayton Avenue

Our Great Grandfather, John Parian, opened the store in 1921 on Dayton Avenue in Passaic. From there, during the 1930s, the store moved to Clifton. The family opened at our current Franklin Lakes location in 1998 due to the rerouting of the Interstate and we have never looked back.

John, as a young man behind the counter

John’s son, Roy, worked in the store during the Great Depression when many jewelers in Northern New Jersey went out of business. It was during that time that Parian & Sons learned the real value of service, dedication and flexibility. Out of those tough times was born a family commitment to our business that runs very deep.

My Grandfather, Roy, eventually took over the business and John retired to the soft sands of the Florida coast. When Roy decided to retire, my father, Glenn J. Parian and my mother Maria took over the running of the jewelry store.

Parian & Sons during the 1950s

My father started working in the store at the age of twenty during the 1970s when Travolta and bell-bottoms reigned. He eventually took it over in 1988. Dad’s contribution was to add several new lines while still promoting the custom design services and traditional bench work that set our jewelry store apart from so many others.

The years of experience are a great advantage to our customers. We can offer value and honesty where many other jewelers cannot. We focus on creating repeat and lifetime customers rather than making a single sale.

When we sit down to feast with our family this holiday, we will be thankful for all the good fortune and blessings that have come to our family and Parian & Sons over so many years.
